Dr. Michelle DesChamplain, a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, worked in a private practice in Savannah, Georgia for four years before joining Atlantic Vein & Vascular Associates, PLLC in July 2014. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in history. She graduated from Old Dominion University with her M.S. in biology. She then continued her education at the Medical College of Virginia, where in 2003 she graduated as a Doctor of Medicine (MD). Dr. DesChamplain also completed her vascular surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. From 2010 to April 2014 she worked as a vascular surgeon at a private practice in Savannah, Georgia.
She also worked as an Academic Assistant Professor of Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine from April 2013 to April 2014. Dr. DesChamplain has now joined Dr. Fredrick Southern and Dr. Gregory Barber at Atlantic Vein & Vascular Associates,PLLC (AVVA). She enjoys spending time with her godson and traveling with her husband Michael.
